Follow Essay Format Guide From Experienced Teacher
Follow Essay Format Guide From Experienced Teacher Laughter fills the show choir room as my teammates and I pass the time by telling bad jokes and breaking out in random bursts of movement. Overtired, we donât even realize weâre entering the fourth hour of rehearsal. This same sense of camaraderie follows us onstage, where we become so invested in the story we are portraying we lose track of time. I realize I choreograph not for recognition, but to help sixty of my best friends find their footing. I'm momentarily taken aback, unable to understand how I went wrong when I followed the recipe perfectly. Last summer, I returned to Xiamen, China, and taught my father how to drink coffee. Now, a Chemex and teapot are both on the end table. Instead of simply listening, I shared my experiences as a club president, a community leader, and a volunteer. My father raised his cup of coffee and made a toast to me, âGood girl! Perhaps if we all learned more about each other's lifestyles, the world would be more empathetic and integrated. On the outside, I look like any smart phone, but when you open my settings and explore my abilities, you will find I have many unique features. After experiencing many twists and turns in my life, Iâm finally at a good spot. I know what I want to do with my life, and I know how Iâm going to get there. Learning how to wake up without my mom every morning became routine. Nothing felt right, a constant numbness to everything, and fog brain was my kryptonite. I paid attention in class, I did the work, but nothing stuck. I felt so stupid, I knew I was capable, I could solve a Rubikâs cube in 25 seconds and write poetry, but I felt broken. I was lost, I couldnât see myself, so stuck on my mother that I fell into an âIt will never get betterâ mindset. On August 30th, 2018 my mom passed away unexpectedly. My favorite person, the one who helped me become the man I am today, ripped away from me, leaving a giant hole in my heart and in my life. I finally found myself, and my mom fought for me, her love was endless. Even though I had friends, writing, and therapy, my strongest support was my mother. I was six when I first refused/rejected girlâs clothing, eight when I only wore boyâs clothing, and fifteen when I realized why. When gifted dresses I was told to âsmile and say thank youâ while Spiderman shirts took no prompting from me, Iâd throw my arms around the giver and thank them. For me, time isnât just seconds ticking by on a clock, itâs how I measure what matters. â The thought screams through my mind as I carry a sobbing girl on my back across campus in search of an ice pack and ankle wrap. She had just fallen while performing, and I could relate to the pain and fear in her eyes. The chaos of the show becomes distant, and I devote my time to bringing her relief, no matter how long it may take. I find what I need to treat her injury in the sports medicine training room. The rollout plan for the iTaylor is to introduce it to the theater market. My goal is to use performance and storytelling to expose audiences to different cultures, religions, and points of view. I didnât realize she would be the first of many patients I would tend to in this training room. Since then, Iâve launched a sports medicine program to provide care to the 500-person choir program. The most important factor in my transition was my momâs support. She scheduled me an appointment with a gender therapist, let me donate my female clothes, and helped build a masculine wardrobe. With her help, I went on hormones five months after coming out and got surgery a year later. My whole life has been others invading my gender with their questions, tears signed by my body, and a war against my closet. Fifteen years and I finally realized why, this was a girlâs body, and I am a boy. Finally, after an additional seventy-two hours, the time comes to try it. I crack the seal on the bottle, leaning over to smell what I assume will be a tangy, fruity, delicious pomegranate solution. The insufferable stench fills my nostrils and crushes my confidence.

How To Write The Best College Admissions Essay
How To Write The Best College Admissions Essay Find an idea wherever you canâ"application essays tend to be a source of hesitation more than inspiration. Most colleges, as well as the Common Application, will have the topics for their essays available online. Look them up, and then start looking anywhere and everywhere for ideas. Itâs always good to pull ideas from your own experiences. Most times, an outline should not be based on the college admission essay format which will be discussed below. However, this format may vary depending on your university of choice or the course you intend to pursue, as will be explained below. Have confidence in your own choicesâ"what music is special to you, the authors you most value, the activities you participate in. Your enthusiasm for wood carving, slam poetry, Coen Brothers movies, or whatever, is what will jump off the page. You canât make up that passion, and you shouldnât try. Word order means more than word choiceâ"you need to check, double-check, sit for a while and check again to make sure your admissions essay is as polished as possible. Basic grammar is really, really, important; it wonât get you into a school on its own, but without it, you could cost yourself a spot. Sell yourself as you really are, so that reading your writing and having a conversation with you both feel like meeting the same person. The genuine article onlyâ"everything is significant when it comes to telling your own story. It doesnât matter where youâve been or what youâve seen, and this is not a time where a reader is judging your list of achievements. The most important factor of your college admissions essay is that youâre writing about whatâs truly important to you. Making sure you have the right punctuation in the right place and using active voice over passive is vital. That said, make sure your good grammar doesnât keep the essay from sounding like you. Donât push to use fancier language or longer sentences than you normally would. Use the simplest word you need to get a point acrossâ"every time. More than that, college admission essays and personal statements give you the chance to tell your story. The decision your admissions officer must make is about more than just your grades and your extracurricular activities. They want to know about your interests, your values, and your character. They have to decide whether you are a good fitâ"both for their institution and higher education in general. Our personal statement writer service has experience writing MBA admission essays; we know all main requirements, rules of a winning essay. Think about what youâve accomplished and what you feel defines you. Think about parts of your background that have shaped your life. Ultimately, every application essay you write is going to be about you, as it should be the easiest thing to write about and it will give admission officers an idea of who you are. Youâll need to complete another essential part of the college application process, which implies writing a successful admission essay. This is the type of paper that allows a college admissions committee to evaluate your personal qualities and experience, and decide if youâll be a great fit to attend their college. Therefore, the likelihood of your studying in this or that establishment will significantly depend on the content of the admission essay. Now that you have decided on the story that you want to tell, the next logical step would be to write it. You need to create an outline that you will use when writing your essay. Get too much help. There is a fine line between asking someone you trust to review your essay and getting too much help. When your mom, dad, teacher or tutor starts giving you words to use or edits too much, your voice disappears. But merely gathering these facts is not enough to enter the college.

An Exploration of Love and the Supernatural - Literature Essay Samples
Keatsââ¬â¢ exploration of the nature of love is enhanced through his utilisation of the imagination and the overtly supernatural settings which he creates. Both Lamia, which relates the mystical story of a beautiful serpent who strikes a deal with Hermes in order to restore herself to the form of a woman, and La Belle Dame Sans Merci, which presents the story of a knight falling victim to a ââ¬Ëfaeryââ¬â¢-like woman, employ an hypnotic rhythm accompanied by mythical allusions which help to display the inner workings of Keatsââ¬â¢ highly imaginative mind. Critics have described some of the poetry of the Romantics as ââ¬Ëa semi-religious response to the natural worldââ¬â¢; however, what can be detected from Keatsââ¬â¢ aforementioned poems is the sense of a semi-religious response to the supernatural world, which is portrayed with such sensory detail and artistry that it can seem almost unimaginable. The entrancing hypnotic effect of both La Belle Dame Sans Merci, which is written in iambic tetrameter, and Lamia, consisting of heroic rhyming couplets which create a repetitive beat and continuous motion, perhaps reflect the supernatural nature of the stories and the potentially damaging power of their protagonists. This becomes apparent in the ââ¬Ëwild wild eyesââ¬â¢ of the faery, which forcefully conveys the treachery of the female through the adoption of repetition and builds upon the foreboding tentativeness of the opening line ââ¬ËO what can ail thee Knight at armsââ¬â¢. The cunning tone of the words suggests that we are later to discover that the conventionally strong and courageous soldier will succumb to some greater power, which in this case is the deceitful and threatening female. Her ââ¬Ëwildââ¬â¢ eyes and ability to cause the Knight to be ââ¬Ëlulledââ¬â¢ asleep establish an otherworldly aura about the woman, which could be interpreted as represen ting Keatsââ¬â¢ paradoxical fascination with the lure of the opposite sex whilst also illustrating his wariness of the innate female essence, here depicted as manipulative and possibly lethal. The supernatural theme of the poem enhances this ambivalent perception along with the power of seduction, which can similarly be recognised in the character of Lamia. Keatsââ¬â¢ use of the oxymoronic declaration ââ¬Ëah, bitter-sweet!ââ¬â¢ to describe her illustrates his perplexity at the ambiguity and uncertainty of the female. The serpent creature is described as having a mouth ââ¬Ëwith all its pearls completeââ¬â¢, which is suggestive of her inestimable worth whilst also having sexual connotation, and eyes that ââ¬Ëwere born so fairââ¬â¢, yet conversely as potentially ââ¬Ëthe demonââ¬â¢s selfââ¬â¢. He appears ambivalent towards women; both fascinated with their beauty yet simultaneously presenting them as being phenomenally destructive, to the male in particu lar. The spiritual reference to the ââ¬Ëdemonââ¬â¢, with its connotations of malevolence and torment, emphasises this notion and causes us to question the stereotypical innocence and submissiveness of Keatsââ¬â¢ 19th century female counterparts. Moreover, Keatsââ¬â¢ use of the spiritual emphasises the transient nature of earthly love, as discovered by the Knight of La Belle Dame Sans Merci, and the ease with which those in possession of mystical abilities can taint the nature of love. He is left ââ¬Ëalone and palely loiteringââ¬â¢ after we learn that ââ¬ËLa Belle Dame sans Merci/ Thee hath in thrallââ¬â¢, illustrating the pitilessness of his enchanter, which is accentuated by the harsh sound of the consonance of ââ¬Ëthââ¬â¢. Her beauty and magical ability appears to have fooled and enslaved him, resulting in his isolation and ill-health. This is reinforced by the metaphoric ââ¬Ëlily on thy browââ¬â¢, which suggests a deathly paleness and seems to foreshadow his passing due to the connotations of what is commonly recognised as a funeral flower. Similarly, Lamia has been described by David Perkins as being ââ¬Ëabout the consequences of being a dreamerââ¬â¢, reflecting Keatsââ¬â¢ belief in th e greatness of the imagination and suggesting that human relationships should be allowed to flourish naturally in order to display their sublime nature. After the contract between Hermes and Lamia has been fulfilled, Lamia begins her transition towards becoming a woman again leaving ââ¬Ënothing but pain and uglinessââ¬â¢ after she ââ¬Ëconvulsââ¬â¢d with scarlet painââ¬â¢. This passage reveals the torturous sufferings she is forced to go through as a result of her desperation to be with her ââ¬Ëyouth of Corinthââ¬â¢. The description of her pain as ââ¬Ëscarletââ¬â¢ is suggestive of blood and severe discomfort, which is underpinned by the sensory verb ââ¬Ëconvulsââ¬â¢dââ¬â¢, with its implications of violent sufferings and an inability to control oneself. It seems that she has shed all of her previous beauty and exoticism to become unsightly and uncomfortable, enforcing the negative consequences of unnatural powers. Furthermore, a typically Romantic sense of defiance of the rationality and order of the 18th Century is tangible in both Lamia and La Belle Dame Sans Merci, which are replete with imaginatively medieval and mythical allusions. The beginning of Lamia, in particular, which details the fairytale setting of the poem, is abundant in rich imagery of supernatural creatures. Keats references ââ¬ËDryadsââ¬â¢, which are tree nymphs, ââ¬ËFaunsââ¬â¢ and ââ¬ËTritonsââ¬â¢, building up a magical and somewhat extraordinary setting, which is complemented by the inclusion of Greek mythology. The opening is focused upon Hermes, the god of commerce, transitions and boundaries, heightening what could be seen as the importance Keats places upon the imagination and the constantly changing nature of human beings. The resistance and rebelliousness that Hermes displays through ââ¬Ëamorous theft/From high Olympusââ¬â¢ suggests that he gains a sense of enjoyment from causing trouble and defying the hierarchy of his social system, with Mount Olympus being the home of the gods in Greek mythology, again reflecting the beliefs of the Romantic poets. This exhibits a carefree and buoyant attitude, which is in contrast to the more serious tone of La Belle Dame Sans Merci, which is arguably a poem warning us about the dangers of obsessive love. Whereas Hermes seems to draw some enjoyment out of neglecting his responsibilities, the Knight soon learns that becoming entranced by the ââ¬ËLady in the Meadsââ¬â¢ was a mistake. Described as ââ¬Ëa faeryââ¬â¢s childââ¬â¢ and as using ââ¬Ëlanguage strangeââ¬â¢, she also appears to be of medieval times, stressed by the use of quaint old English, which emphasises Keatsââ¬â¢ fascination with chivalric tales and even reminds us of the courtly love tradition. There is a sense of uncertainty surrounding the woman, which is suggestive of Keatsââ¬â¢ disapproval of the oppressive past, which she is a part of, and h is desire for a future where the rights of the individual are valued. Thus, it could be argued that he is utilising various allusions to classical and supernatural beings as a form of escapism, in order to cause the reader to question the morality of political and social conventions. Overall, Keatsââ¬â¢ exploration of the imagination and supernatural manifests itself in various forms in both Lamia and La Belle Dame Sans Merci. His typically Romantic perspective that the imagination should triumph over all else is clearly evident, whilst there is simultaneously a suggestion that the contemporary conventions were damaging and inhibited the natural desires of the people of the time. The supernatural is also used to highlight what could be seen as Keatsââ¬â¢ wariness of the female and the dangers of their allure, as embodied by both Lamia and the ââ¬Ëfaeryââ¬â¢s childââ¬â¢, whilst accentuating the transience of love perhaps due to an acute awareness of his own mortality.

How Different Parenting Styles And Child Attachment Styles
In this paper, I investigated the research question of how different parenting styles and child attachment styles play a role in the development of anxiety disorders. This research question is important because it can help us find ways to effectively prevent anxiety disorders early on and find effective ways of treating children and adolescents so that they do not develop disorders in the future (Schimmenti Bifulco, 2015, p. 42). Attachment styles are defined as the bond and the strong emotional connection that is formed between two people- in this case, a child and the parent or a caregiver (Schimmenti Bifulco, 2015, p. 42). There are three types of attachment styles: secure attachment, anxious-ambivalent attachment, and avoidantâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦43). Childhood Experience of Care and Abuse (CECA), measured neglect, antipathy, role reversal, physical abuse, psychological abuse and sexual abuse in the participantsââ¬â¢ childhood, before the age of 17 (Schimmenti Bifulco, 2015, p. 43). And the Attachment style interview was used to determine the attachment style of the participants (Schimmenti Bifulco, 2015, p. 43). The results showed that 18% of the participants met the criteria for anxiety disorders with social phobia being the most common at 66%, generalized anxiety at 38% and panic attack with or without agoraphobia at 28%. Females were significantly more likely to have an anxiety disord er, with 69% of the participants with anxiety disorders being female. Participants that were diagnosed with anxiety disorders in the last 12 months showed significantly higher rates of antipathy and neglect, while role reversal, physical, psychological, and sexual abuse showed no effect. 37% of participants who showed anxious attachment showed anxiety disorders in the last 12 months compared to 12% of securely attached, and 10% of avoidant attached participants. The data showed that ââ¬Å"parental antipathy was statistically linked with anxiety disorders via attachment scoreâ⬠(Schimmenti Bifulco, 2015, p. 46).
